Our doctors have several awards & achievements to their credit: 

Dr. Venkatesh Krishnamoorthy

  • Received “ Dr. B C Roy award”  on 5th  July 2008 at Bangalore Medical college Alumni Association Auditorium, Bangalore.

  • Received the 'PRSI National Award for Excellence 2001- 02 for Social Concern' at Hotel Grand Ashok on August 9, 2002.

  • Founder Member of the Karnataka Urology Association. Was made its Honorable Secretary in June 1996.

  • Received an Honorary Rotarianship for the year 2001-2002 from Rotary Bangalore Southwest (Dist.3190) in July 2001.

  • In January 1997, was appointed Convener of 'ALERT' - an organisation devoted to spreading awareness of legal and ethical issues in relation to therapeutics. 

  • Gave a lecture on 'My Expectations about Urology Training' at the Annual Conference, held at the Calicut Urology Club in March 1988. The lecture won the 'Best Lecture' award.

  • Gave a lecture on 'Neurogenic Bladder' at the annual CME Programme in Surgery in 1985 that won the 'Best Lecture' award.

Dr. Dilip Rangarajan

  • Started the CAPD Programme at the Sundaram Medical Foundation.

  • Has conducted city nephrologists' meets at the Sundaram Medical Foundation for the last 6 years.

  • Conducted lectures & case discussions for the Medical Education (Acme) Programme at Sundaram Medical Foundation (which is predominantly meant for educating postgraduates).

  • Topped the entrance exam for post-graduate selection in Tamil Nadu in 1987.

  • Passed the Diplomate of National Board (Nephrology) examinations in the first attempt.

  • Topped the national level Practical Exam for DNB (Urology) in November 2006.

  • Won a gold medal during MBBS.

  • First person to complete DNB (Urology) from the NU Trust Institute. 

  • Presented the paper titled ‘Establishment of Urinary Tract Calculi analysis database using the FTIR technique’ that won the ‘Dr. Dilip Adappa Best Paper Award’ at KUACON-2007, held at Mysore on November 03, 2007

  • Presented the paper titled 'PCNL in the Management of Upper Urinary Tract Calculi' at the State Conference, KUACON 2003, held at Hubli on October 20, 2003. The paper won the 'Dr. Dilip Adappa Best Paper Award'

  • President – Indian Continence Foundation

  • President – Andrology Forum, India

  • Founder President of the Indian Continence Foundation, which aims at helping the suffering incontinent population and training doctors & nurses in incontinence.

  • Involved in the European Commission Initiative – Asia-Link EU Programme – URO Project – Agreement CN/Asia. This involves the countries of Italy, India, Slovenia and China conjointly developing a curriculum on urinary incontinence, for the creation of a new professional continence therapists project leader for India – an online multimedia integrated course and syllabus.

  • Placed in charge of the announcement of the 'World Continence Day' by the International Continence Society. This will be announced in Cairo on September 2008.

  • Organising Secretary of the First International Conference on Male Reproduction & Infertility held at the J.N. Tata National Science Seminar Complex, Bangalore, India from September 16th to 18th, 2005.

  • Appointed as Research Advisor for M/s. Johnson & Johnson for their international design and development centre

  • Was presented an award for innovations in urology for 'Ultrasound-based Detection Protocol for Obstructive Azoospermia' at the Annual Karnataka Urology Conference in Mysore in 2000.

  • Was presented the 'Original Innovation Award for Surgeon-Assisted Robotic Prostatectomy' at the International College of Surgeons Meeting, held at Kandy in September 1996.

  • Organising Secretary for the 5th Asian Society for Female Urology and the 6th Asia-Pacific Continence Advisory Board Congress in November 2003.

  • Invited to be on the Continence Promotion Committee of the International Continence Society in Seoul in September 2001, for monitoring the publication of the CPC Committee website 'Continence Worldwide' and also for monitoring crucial worldwide continence-related activities.

  • Invited to be on the Internet Committee of the International Continence Society in October 2002, for monitoring internet-related issues and the monitoring of the ICS website.

  • Designated as the Internet Chair for the CPC Committee official website – 'Continence Worldwide' since 2001.

  • Nominated as the Convenor for Andrology Sub-Speciality Meetings and the Urological Society Annual Conference by The Urological Society of India for 3 years from March 2004.

  • He has established comprehensive diagnostic and treatment modalities that are unique to the state of Karnataka in microsurgery, management of male infertility, erectile dysfunction, male aging and bladder dysfunctions due to neurological or non-neurological causes.

  • He has established collaborative projects with the Indian Institute of Science and with the University of British Columbia for basic research projects in microsurgery, management of male infertility, erectile dysfunction, male aging and bladder dysfunctions due to neurological or non-neurological causes. He has also established a comprehensive patient education program and a video library.

  • As the chief editor and webmaster, was involved in the design and development of www.uroandro.coma site specifically intended for Indian reproductive specialists, andrologists and neuro-urologists.

  • Invited to be a Thesis Examiner by the Advanced Board of Medical Studies, Karachi for the postgraduate students in urology of their affiliated universities for the award of the degree.

  • Invited to Gulu Independent Hospital, Gulu, Uganda from September 5th to 13th, 2004 for performing IVF / ICSI on recruited patients and for training personnel with lectures and demonstrations on various aspects of human reproduction in both males and females.
