24/7 Pharmacy: We have an in-house pharmacy that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The pharmacy has 1,200 varieties of drugs and specialises in nephro-urology drugs that include medicinal drugs relating to infertility and andrology. The pharmacy also conducts home delivery of medicines.

24/7 Laboratory Services: The laboratory provides patients round-the-clock services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Quality and efficiency are ensured through internal and external quality controls, bar-coded samples, FDA-approved reagent kits, the use of vacutainers and the direct transfer of lab results through the lab equipment interface to the hospital information system (HIS) network.

Radiology Services: The AGFA 30 CR enables us to view digital x-rays throughout the hospital in DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) format.

24/7 Ambulance Services

Diet as per Patients’ Requirements: At NU Hospitals, a dietician tailors meals according to each patient’s individual requirements. This is to ensure that each patient receives the proper mix of nutrients such as proteins and carbohydrates. We provide four meals a day to patients – breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner. Fresh and natural ingredients are used to prepare meals, and all meals are designed to be low in fat and salt. We provide a renal diet for patients who require it, as per the doctor’s instructions. We also provide a special protein drink for dialysis patients.

Canteen: We have a canteen that serves food for patients, patients’ families, patient attenders as well as to visitors.

Surveillance Cameras: We have surveillance cameras to ensure hospital and patient safety that have a storage capacity of 1 week’s data. The cameras can be monitored from any part of the world.

Smart Card Technology for Patients: Our smart card technology allows our patients to use pre-paid cash, provided in the smart card, for use at all billing centres as well as at the canteen.

Smart Card Technology for Employees: Our smart card technology is also used to keep a record of employee attendance, provides access control to the employees and can be used by them at the canteen. This technology is also implemented in our satellite centres from our main hospital.

Collection of Samples and Delivery of Lab Test Results to Patients’ Homes: The laboratory at NU Hospitals collect samples as well as delivers the processed lab test results to patients’ home. This makes the process of lab testing highly convenient and easy to undergo for our patients. Home service for blood collection is also carried out.
