Dr. Maneesh Sinha is currently the Head of Department of Urology at NU Hospitals. After having completed his MBBS at the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, he trained in general surgery at Safdarjung Hospital. His zeal to train in Urology took him to Christian Medical College, Vellore; where he acquired his MCh and DNB degrees. After spending 5 years at Vellore, he spent another 5 at Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur where he was instrumental in setting up a department of Urology.He joined NU Hospitals in 2010 and developed a keen interest in stone and laser endourology, vascular access for dialysis and renal transplant. His penchant for innovation and training has driven him to develop effective models for laparoscopic and endourological training of urological residents. Recognition from the urological community has come in the form of awards, in addition to a number of national and international publications, where his work has been quoted.
